NATIONAL Capital District Commission has come up with four rules for betel nut traders to follow, says city manager Bernard Kipit.
He announced the rules during the opening of the 8-Mile Betel Nut Wholesale Market on Friday.
“The first rule is to buy betel nut at the legally designated places and one of them is the newly opened wholesale market,” he said.
“The second rule is to sell betel nut at the designated areas and not alongside traffic or road sides. The third rule is for people to chew betel nut at designated areas like next to a rubbish bin.
“The fourth rule is for people to be responsible for their own rubbish.”
