Business

NASFUND Contributors Savings and Loan Society Ltd (NCSL) recently launched its Poro debit card and electronic fund transfer point of sale (Eftpos) terminals into the PNG market.
The society installed 300 terminals earlier this year in Port Moresby, Lae, Kokopo and Mt Hagen.
It is in the process of deploying an additional 700 terminals throughout the 19 points of representation nationwide.
Nasfund general manager Vari Lahui said these 700 terminals would complement the 300 already installed in 38 locations in the four main regional centres in PNG.
He said of the 38 locations, 22 of them were in Port Moresby, four locations in Lae, one in Kokopo and 11 in Mt Hagen.
NCSL plans to have a fleet of 5,000 terminals by the end of 2024.
The NCSL Poro account and card provide members with instant access to proceeds of their approved savings withdrawal and loan applications.
