MEMBERS of the Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loan Society Limited continue to find its bill information service useful to check their balances, chief executive officer Ian Tarutia says.
They also use it to access funds within 24 hours after applying for a savings withdrawal, and email messages.
“The service was introduced in 2013 and is installed in all Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loan Society Limited (NCSL) branches – Alotau, Bialla, Boroko, Buka, Goroka, Kavieng, Kimbe, Kokopo, Lae, Lihir, Lorengau, Madang, Mt. Hagen, Popondetta, Port Moresby, Tabubil, Vanimo and Wewak,” Tarutia said.
“Customer service is important and NCSL is technology-driven to introduce innovative services to serve its growing membership.
“The BIS service offers balance check, online withdrawal, viewing of personal data and savings information besides emailing member statement.”
Sima Kou, an employee of the Super Value Mart in Port Moresby said it was handy.
“I can easily check my balance and email my statements via BIS when I need it,” Kou said.
The NCSL was established in October 2003 as result of changes made to the Superannuation Act which disallowed voluntary education contributions to be a part of superannuation savings. Through NCSL, people can continue to provide a savings facility for not only education expenses but for financial commitments as well.
