NCSL Poro accounts to be used for loans, withdrawals

NASFUND Contributors Savings and Loan Society (NCSL) members have been informed that as of Oct 1, all approved requests for loans, savings, withdrawals and refunds will be directly disbursed into respective Poro Accounts as a mandatory requirement.
According to a NCSL statement, funds disbursed into Poro Accounts could be moved at discretion by way of a Poro Account withdrawal to preferred commercial bank account at a minimum fee of K2.
“The Poro Card can be used on BSP, Westpac and Kina Bank ATM following the recently launched retail electronic payment system (REPS) by the Bank of Papua New Guinea,” the society said.
“These banks apply a fee of K2.50 for the ATM service.
“Accessing funds via the Poro Account is instant and we encourage every member to complete the registration form to open his or her Poro Account.”
The application form is available at all NCSL branches and online via the website: http://www.ncsl.com.pg.
Completed form with relevant ID copies must be emailed to http://[email protected].
