NDB unveils SMS service

NATIONAL Development Bank (NDB) customers can now access the details of their accounts using SMS banking.

The new service was unveiled yesterday by acting managing director Moses Liu. 

Liu said the new banking service would provide value-added banking services to the bank’s new and existing customers.

He said customers would now be able to obtain their current loan account balance, the next payment amount and would be notified when their next payment would be due.

Liu said customers could also get free reminders and details of new products that the bank would be offering. 

“The benefits to our customers include free notification three days before their loan amount is due. 

“Free monthly update on the customers’ account and arrears notification.” 

Liu said SMS banking would be the first of electronic banking services that NDB to be rolling out shortly throughout the country
