TWO bank officers were caught by police assaulting a woman inside a vehicle at the back road of Gordon Business Centre yesterday.
NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N’dranou said the woman, believed to be the partner of one of the attackers, was in a vehicle when she was assaulted.
The woman was physically beaten inside the vehicle while the other bank officer watched.
N’dranou was in an unmarked police vehicle next to the one the woman was in and saw the assault take place.
“It seems that men take their wives away to hide them from public and bash them to death like this,” he said.
N’dranou said there might have been reasons behind the assault.
Police took pictures of the men, vehicle plate number and mobile contacts for police to lay proper charges.
N’dranou said the incident would be reported to bank management.
Meanwhile, a Coca-Cola company employee was killed along the Papa-Lealea Road last Saturday. Police said the man was making a business run to coastal villages when he died.
The reason for his death was still unknown.
The company vehicle was found by police and returned.
