Netball association set for finals tomorrow

THE Pepsi Motu-Koita West Netball Association is set to have its finals tomorrow at Hanuabada village as 14 clubs compete across all seven divisions.
After a competitive season since November with Under-15, U17, U21, mixed, A Reserve, A Grade and men’s teams, only one side can walk away as champions in each category.
Association president Kori Toua-Navuru told The National yesterday that there would be awards presented to the winners in each division after the finals as well as special recognition awards.
“The season has been good despite the Covid-19 pandemic and other internal changes,” she said.
“I am glad we’ve made to the end and I want thank my executive members and most importantly my God for giving me the strength and wisdom to lead everyone.
“We will be doing presentation for the grand final winners as well as the runners-up.
“Other special awards include minor premiers, seasonal awards, club champions and runners-up.”
A notable club in the competition is Elex Lahara 600 – whose teams have qualified for the finals in six of the seven divisions.
