Netball comp kicks off

NETBALL matches kicked off yesterday at the Kokopo Sports Ground. Tournament director Pole Kassman described them as interesting as most players were unknown but they displayed good skills.
She said most teams were present at the courts except Team Simbu.
A total of 10 games were played yesterday with five on each court.
In the first three games, Morobe thrashed Eastern Highlands 54-9, Western beat Manus 33-21 and hosts ENB stopped Milne Bay 31- 26.
The last match was a neck-to-neck affair since but East New Britain pulled through in the final quarter to win.
