Netball heads into finals

NETBALL will head into the finals tomorrow after completing the normal round of competition at the Rita Flynn Courts today.
According to the draws, Morobe, NCD and Central are still in the running for the medal contention despite the outcome of their respective matches today.
Tournament director (netball) for PNG Games, Pole Kassman is optimistic that all normal games would be completed by today before they can determine the teams that qualify for the finals playoff.
Yesterday, West New Britain pulled a major coup when they edged out Central 38-29 in Pool A while in Pool B, little known Milne Bay stretched Gulf to the limit before bowing out 30-41. The other match saw Western Highlands proved that they can play netball by beating the New Ireland 30-15.
The full results of the matches played yesterday afternoon: Pool One – Round Five: Morobe 47 Simbu 9, Madang 30 Eastern Highlands 25, Manus 20 East Sepik 0  West New Britain 38 Central 29.
Round 6: West New Britain 20 East Sepik 0, Central 42 Eastern Highlands 17 Morobe 40 Madang 15.
In Pool Two: Round Five: NCD 30 Western Highlands 21, Western Fly 31  New Ireland 15, Oro 50 Bougainville 13, Gulf 41 Milne Bay 30.
Round Six:  Oro 43 Gulf 23, Western Fly 42 Milne Bay 21, Western Highlands 30 New Ireland 15.
