Never take law into your own hands

I REFER to the week-long tribal clash that erupted as
a result of an attempted
rape by a male student on a fellow female student from the Foursquare High School in Wapenamanda .
Two deaths have been reported and property  worth thousands of kina have been destroyed.
It was reported that the Yangakun and Waimini tribes are involved.
It is unfortunate for a student to have his right hand chopped off and another fighting for his life.
It is sad to see property  damaged and lives lost in the name of revenge and payback.
We have come of age.
We are in a different world today where the majority is educated and understands the rule of law.
So let the law takes its course. There is no point taking the law into our own hands and resorting to tribal fights.
The Stone Age days are over and people must have respect for fellow humans and the right to live peacefully.
Leaders of the warring tribes must come out and put an end to this conflict before everything goes out of hand.
It is every individual’s onus of the warring tribes to end the fight.
Peace and order must prevail to let the perpetrators face justice.
