New board chairman named

 ZHAO Shimin has been replaced by Zong Shoaxing as the new board chairman of MCC RamuNiCo and RamuNiCo management.

The announcement was made in a meeting last month at the company’s four project sites.

Zhao, who has worked in China and PNG, had been in the mining construction and operation for over 40 years before his retirement.

Zong, while accepting the appointment, acknowledged Zhao’s dedication and contribution to the project in the past two years.

He acknowledged and encouraged all staff to build confidence and work together to fully deliver the project of economic importance soon under the new management. 

RamuNiCo  made several executive changes including the appointment of Xu Jian and Zhao Deqian as new vice presidents, while Zhong Jiawen had been appointed as the new chief financial officer
