KAIR Hardware is a new business that has established a branch in Jiwaka and will boost employment, cash flow and economic growth once Jiwaka separates from Western Highlands next year.
Kair Hardware is the business arm of Kair Engineering, a company based in Chimbu.
Last Thursday, a huge crowd turned up for the opening of the new hardware store in Banz town.
Company managing director David Herman Nime said Jiwaka needed business partners in its development.
He said the new province would became economically independent and “whatever is invested will do a lot to change the new province”.
Nime said the private sector always played a major role in the development of a country.
He said the hardware store would benefit people in the region.
Jiwaka Transitional Authority chairman Philip Kapal thanked the company for establishing a branch in Banz.
Kapal said the new province needed money and the private sector “will do a lot to help push development”.
He said this was the first investment the province witnessed and urged other interested companies to invest there.
