NATIONWIDE Microbank Limited (MiBank) has announced the appointment of Wayne Dorgan  (pictured) as chairman of MiBank.

Managing director Tony Westaway said Dorgan was replacing Ray Clark who was required to step down from the position under the Central Bank’s new prudential standards on corporate governance.

Clark had been chairman for more than 10 years.

He was associated with the establishment and development of the PNG – ADB Microfinance Project at its inception in 2002.

The project led to the opening of the Wau Microbank in 2004, which subsequently became Nationwide Microbank Limited.
