THE new city manager for Port Moresby Bernard Kipit has called for teamwork as he takes on his new role.
A civil engineer by profession, he previously served in the position from 2000 to 2005.
“I’ve been here before and have managed different people. I hope we can learn more of each other and work together,” he said.
Kipit said it would not be easy managing more than 700 employees. But he is confident that everyone knows their roles and responsibilities and looks forward to working with them as a team.
He said the National Capital District Commission’s main objective was to implement the decision of the governor and the NCDC board to ensure services were delivered to the people.
“I look forward to working with you all to make NCDC a great organisation,” he said.
