ACTING Central police commander Chief Insp Tapp Opai, who officially took over the office of the Central command yesterday, says he is prepared to start from where the former commander had left.
He said policing duties were not new to him and hoped to work with police officers and other staff at the Central command.
Insp Opai said Central was a big province and he would try his best to deliver what was needed by the people.
“Policing is not something you plan and it will work according to the plan, everything changes every day so the plan also changes,” he said. Insp Opai said the Central people were largely law-abiding but a few did unnecessary things.
The former commander, Supt Johannes Yapi, will be working at headquarters as acting assistant commissioner of the human resource division.
