WHEN Rev Giegere Wenge takes up his new role as head bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran church of Papua New Guinea (ELC-PNG) he will not be walking.
Thanks to the Jabem district – hosts of the 2010 synod which ended last Friday.
The district bought a brand new vehicle for the new bishop.
The vehicle will be officially handed over to the new bishop on his inauguration day which is expected to happen soon.
The vehicle is a gift to the new bishop to assist him in his day to day work of the church.
A church committee is now working on a date and place for the official ceremony to take place.
