A NEW border administration post has been commissioned at Bewani, West Sepik, along the PNG-Indonesian border to boost economic relations between both countries.
Immigration and Border Security Minister Westley Nukundj said the post, which was commissioned on Wednesday, would encourage Papua New Guineans to tap into the vast economic potential of the Asian market.
“This post will serve as the gateway to the big Asian market that we have not tapped into for too long,” he said.
“As trade and business across the border grows, so too will be revenues collected in taxes and duties to the Government contributing to economic growth of our country.”
