New jerseys push Storm’s aspirations to win Governor’s Cup

KINDENG Storm’s goal to win the Jiwaka Governor’s Cup has been given a timely boost with the presentation of a new sets of jerseys from local businessman Molka Gibson Kum.
Wearing their new jersey, the Storm beat Kondol Tai 12-4 at the Banz Rugby League Ground on Wednesday.
Team officials Joel Pawa (president), James Mek (manager), Reuben Samuel (trainer/coach) and tcaptain Manu Jim commended Kum for the assistance.
“We can’t express in words how excited we are to receive such support,” Samuel said.
“We are struggling but Kum’s support has given us the confidence to compete. So far, we have won six games and lost five.
“We are competing against 17 other teams but with this support, we are confident of winning the remaining games to give ourselves every chance of making the finals.”
He also helped Kindeng Ku and other teams from Banz and Nondugl.
