SIX landowner companies from Hides 4 petroleum licence development 7 (PDL) have formed an umbrella joint venture company called Gigira Hides 4 Joint Venture (GH4JV) Ltd to participate in the early liquefied natural gas (LNG) work at Hides.
GH4JV chairman Erick Ayule said the six landowner companies had completed all the necessary agreements with the assistance from ExxonMobil and Oil Search Ltd.
Ayule said his company was now waiting for subcontracts to be awarded by Curtain Clough JV (CCJV) which is working on early construction work at PDL 7.
He said indications were that with assistance from ExxonMobil, his company would get a contract.
Ayule has acknowledged ExxonMobil and OSL for facilitating the landowner companies to form a single umbrella company.
“I commend OHL and ExxonMobil for their effort in getting us organised to be what we are now.
“I am grateful for their effort and just in a matter of time, we will start to work on the scope of work we have submitted,” Ayule told The National yesterday.
