THE new member-elect for Telefomin and independent candidate Solan Mirisim highly praised the O’Neill-led government for delivering basic services since it came into power nine months ago.
“It is a good government with a leadership that we, the new leaders, would like to work with because we have experienced basic services such as free education and health in our places,” he said.
“The services that this government has implemented have delivered to my people in Telefomin, which is a very isolated place – and I think many Papua New Guineans can agree with me. I’m happy to support O’Neill to form the next government.”Mirisim said that he believed and had confidence in O’Neill’s leadership, knowing that he had the vision to make sure that all people were served equally.
“I believe that this government that we have formed now will continue on from the policies of the previous government under O’Neill and serve right.”The leader acknowledged the people for their support and promised them that he would do his best to deliver basic services that were lacking in the remote electorate.
