The members of the Port Moresby assembly of the Revival Centres of Papua New Guinea church have welcomed a new provincial pastor.
Pastor Tony Tesemale and his family were formally welcomed at a ceremony on April 7.
Tesemale, who is also the deputy chairman and pastor assisting the principal pastor – Pastor Godfrey Onpaiye Wippon – sereved in Eastern Highlands before his Port Moresby appointment.
He is also overseeing the Southern region as regional pastor.
Outgoing provincial pastor for Port Moresby Ps Michael Kumung pledged his support for Tasemale.
Kumung has served for eight years as the pastor responsible for the administration of the Port Moresby assembly and he said that in that time he has seen the church grow and become strong.
Tesemale vowed to do his best to continue the good work of his predecessor and, above all, make Port Moresby assembly a model in Papua New Guinea.
“This fellowship has its code of ethics and we are committed to our fellowship,” Tesemale said.
Principal and founder Pastor Godfrey Onpaiye Wippon thanked Kumung for his work.
