New rooms for school
The National, Thursday May 1st, 2014
STUDENTS attending Anglimp Secondary School, in Jiwaka, now have two new double classrooms, thanks to the Western Highlands provincial government.
The buildings, containing four classrooms, were built at a cost of K400,000.
The keys of the new classrooms were handed to principal George Rambang at the school by the Western Highlands finance chairman Nathan Wantape.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Western Highlands provincial education adviser Stanley Maip, his superintendent of high and secondary schools Martin Marr, board members and teachers.
Wantape said the classrooms were part of the K800,000 projects for three secondary schools; two from Western Highlands and one in Anglimp.
He said Hagen secondary and Togoba had a new double classroom each while Anglimp had two.
Wantape said because of limited space, many students did not have a chance to further their education.
