The National, Monday February 16th, 2015
FIVE new vehicles have been given to the National Capital District health authorities to serve communities in Port Moresby through its awareness programmes and activities.
NCD health adviser Dr Gary Ou’u thanked Health Minister Michael Malabag for the donation.
He said the vehicles would be used to raise awareness on Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, sexually-transmitted diseases and family planning.
One 15-seater bus will be used for outreach programmes and activities and another will be used at the Gerehu Hospital.
One will be used for facilities and bio-medical services, one for public health service and one for the administration.
He said the population was increasing and the health service should be expanded and equipped with facilities and proper equipment. Seventh-day Adventist Church minister Paul Kemo dedicated the five vehicles.
Kemo prayed for staff members of NCD health service, and urged them to put their trust in the Lord because he was the source of everything.
