CORPORATE Touch Port Moresby newcomers Datafix held Transport to a 2-2 draw in the open men’s division pool A round four match at the Bisini yesterday.
The new-kids-on-the-block had to overcome a strong and fast rucking opposition, who outplayed their opponents to score the first point in the early stages to lead 1-0.
But Datafix retaliated with rucking up the corridor and shifting to the far end to equalise 1-1.
They had the opposition off-guard but two more would-be tries were disallowed by the referee as touchdowns were in the five-metre line.
Cones were used to indicate the five-metre and the tryline, which left the players were confused
They went to the break 1-1 after 10 minutes of an even contest.
Datafix were first to score in the second half to lead 2-1 and should have won had they controlled the tempo of the game.
Instead, their rushed play resulted in silly errors, allowing Transport to level the scores 2-2 after 20 minutes of play.
The match committee was unable to provide the results of other matches played.
