Newcrest targets efficiency

 NEWCREST’S Lihir gold operation, which has completed a major capital investment, is focused on efficiency and delivering a return.
Lihir operations general manager Karl Spaleck said: “Lihir’s production performance has improved and the cost reduction schemes are making a difference.
“But more changes are required to further improve productivity and efficiency while reducing costs.”
