NFA funds symposium

 THE National Fisheries Authority has injected K10,000 towards the PNG Medical Society to support the 2013 annual medical symposium in Lae, Morobe, from Sept 1-6.

Medical board chairman Prof Nakapi Tefurarani said malaria was one of the top five killer diseases in the country, the medical society came up with the theme, ‘Malaria – past, present and future’.

Speaking during the presentation of the cheque, Tefurarani said the NFA had contributed immensely to the medical society. 

“Your contribution is valuable for the health sector,” he said.
