NFA-NBC fight end in a 14-4 draw

NATIONAL Fisheries Authority (NFA), recently promoted to the premier division of the Public Servants (PS) netball competition put on an improved performance to hold their opponents, National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), to a 14-14 draw at the Rita Flynn Courts on Saturday.
It was entertaining match with NFA’s Cathy Solomon at the shooting circle putting up a stiff battle against her opponent Sophie Yaruso.
Solomon had a very good combination with her teammates, Gilian One (GA) and their solid goal defender, Malachi Vavine, defusing the Kundu Two ladies continuous raids into their territory through the entire encounter.
In the other premier match, Telikom defeated Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) 16-10.
In the division one, Didimeri shot down the high-flying Ombudsman Commission Eagles, 17-13 and the Prime Minister’s Department and NEC (PM NEC) proved too strong for NCDC, beating them 23-16.
Organisers of the competition have confirmed that because of the kick off to the Port Moresby netball competition is expected to start in April, they have decided to hold two games every weekend.
