Marcus Ng, pictured, beat Ralph Kaina 5-1 in the best-of-nine final on Sunday to retain the Port Moresby Open snooker title.
Snooker enthusiasts watched Ng, who was at his clinical best, make light work of the final, winning the first four frames.
Kaina showed glimpses of his potting skills in the fifth frame, winning 51-26.
However, Ng was always in control of his title defence, closing out the final in the sixth frame.
Earlier, Kaina had to overcome a determined Warren Gai 4-3 in the first semi-final.
In the other semi-final, Ng had his toughest match of the tournament against Nathan Fong who was unlucky not to have taken it to a deciding frame after missing a regulation blue that would have seen Ng needing snookers.
Ng was also awarded the top seed of the tournament and collected the highest break award for his 50.
At the presentation, Geua John was awarded the best female honour after she made it to the top 16 only to be knocked out by Ng.
Toua Simoi defeated Gamu Miria 2-0 in the Plate final.
In a statement, tournament director Joe Chan congratulated the winners, and thanked the players, the host venue and his officials for helping ensure the event was a success.
