NGCB supports snooker teams with K6,000

THE National Gaming Control Board (NGCB) last Thursday came to the rescue of two South Pacific Motors Club (SPMC) teams for the 2010 Port Moresby Billiard and Snooker competition with K6,000 sponsorship.
NGCB chief executive officer Simon Sanangke, when presenting the cheque, said his organiSation had invested a substantial amount to support the sport in PNG and was pleased to continue that.
Mr Sanangke said billiard and snooker competition was a very good sports which kept you healthy.
“Though the support from NGCB is for development purposes, there are few young players who need that support.
The support from NGCB is no exception in helping those players,” he said.
SPMC team skipper Milan Dirua thanked NGCB and Sanangke for their support.
He thanked, especially, senior player Paul Bengo for assisting in securing the sponsorship from NGCB which would help the two lower divisions B and C grade teams.
Bengo also expressed gratitude towards Sanangke for supporting SPMC to take part in the Port Moresby Billiards and Snooker competition.
