Nine new infections take total cases to 15,910

PAPUA New Guinea recorded only nine new Covid-19 infections on Sunday, taking the total to 15,910. The cases were reported in East New Britain and New Ireland with four cases each, and the National Capital District with one.
Eight were men and one woman aged between 11 and 70 years. According to the Controller, a total of 114,671 tests had been conducted for the Covid-19 in PNG.  Total deaths stand at 162 and 15,067 people have recovered from infection. As of May 28, a total of 30,425 people have received their first of two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
