THE Niupetro Fox Football Club management and players have been warned to either perform or ship out.
Niupetro Fox FC interim chairman Peter Angasa said this last Friday after showing an under par performance since the start of the Telikom National Soccer League (NSL) challenge last November.
“I am looking for an improved performance from the management, technical team and the players,” Angasa said.
He said Niupetro Madang Fox were the pride of Madang and sponsors Niupetro who had invested a lot of resources.
He added they were looking for better results from the team.
The performance of the team was well below par and wanted an improved performance this year.
“The team management, technical officers and players have been given until end of round one to produce favourable results or face the axe.
“The team must perform and win some games for the sake of the supporters and the sponsors,” he said.
The Bilia people led by former singer Alfred Sibut also held a small but significant ceremony to  bless the team at the Laiwaden Oval on Monday.
The ceremony was witnessed by many people, including former representative players and fans symbolising friendship, unity and support for the remaining season.
Sibut said for too long the locals and supporters had been backbenchers  without doing much for the team.
“We want see some improvements in their performances,” he said.
Senior player Robin Malwak said the ceremony offered a new drive for the club.
He thanked the supporters from around the country and at home.
The franchise club has also appointed former coach Bobby Morris to be part of the coaching team.
