No back door deals, says Allan

LANDS and Physical Planning Minister Benny Allan is urging departmental staff to work together to effectively address issues that needed urgent intervention.
Allan told a staff briefing yesterday that in order to achieve positive results, political and department staff must cooperate and
work together.
While calling for a 101% commitment from staff, the minister said every member of the public who wanted assistance from the department must do so through proper channels and follow procedures.
“Everyone must be treated the same, whether a member of parliament, senior public servant or a public.
“Doing favours will not be entertained.
“When my term with this department is over, I want to leave with the feeling that we, together, have achieved our aims, goals and objectives to being a step ahead.”
