No comfort from Somare

The National, Wednesday 22nd August 2012

I AM disgusted to read a news article on Aug 10 about Sir Michael Somare visiting heart patients at Port Moresby General Hospital.
He told them how lucky he was by having a successful heart operation in Singapore.
Sir, you should be ashamed of yourself as a father and a former prime minister of this nation by telling these unfortunate patients about your expensive heart operation.
The patients also wished that they had such an operation in Singapore.
Unfortunately, they cannot afford it.
Why go overseas for medical attention?
It is because leaders like you failed our health system. That is why these kind hearted medical professionals from Australia are here to treat our unfortunate patients.
Lastly, I would like to thank those volunteers from Australia for supporting Operation Open Heart.
