No need for new varsity

IT was reported recently that the prime minister said the government would look into establishing a new university in the highlands region.

I would like to disagree with the prime minister on this proposal.

The current established universities are struggling to survive so why start a new one?

Many students who graduated from the universities have yet to find jobs.

Hence, I would like to recommend that the government concentrate on upgrading the existing universities rather than opening a new one.

PNG is a small country and we already have six universities.
