THE deadline for the registration of nominations for the PNGRFL chairmanship is today but no nominations have been received by the PNGRFL office as of Tuesday.
Acting PNGRFL general manager Ivan Ravu confirmed this in an email sent to this paper addressing queries on the annual general meeting.
The AGM is scheduled for next weekend in Lae.
Leagues have registered their interest to affiliate to the PNGRFL for the 2012 season but none have submitted their relevant documents to the PNGRFL office as well as nominations for the executive positions on the PNGRFL  board.
“As of this afternoon (Tuesday), no nominations have been received for the chairman’s post, deputy chairman and other positions on the board of directors for the PNGRFL,” Ravu said.
He confirmed that the leagues that have registered their interest to affiliate in the new season are Port Moresby, Lae, Mt Hagen, Kavieng, Tabubil, Vanimo, Kerema, East New Britain, Women’s rugby league and Goroka.
Ravu confirmed circulating revised affiliation forms to the leagues that had made enquiries as there were no records of contact details at hand for most leagues due to non-affiliation this season.
“PNGRFL contact details were published in the AGM notice a month ago but leagues can contact me on 7686 8625 or 7120 4071 or email on [email protected]
