No one should be above the law
The National, Thursday June 5th, 2014
IT is unbecoming of educated people to ignore the rule of law by not adhering to legal issues surrounding a case. The courts have legal powers to administer justice where it is due. Any attempt to demean its course or get away from it is an act of ignorance. One an allegation is registered as a case, give due diligence for appropriate legal process to take its course. One of the latest legal battles surrounding the case of Tom Kulunga is a classic example of a highly educated person trying to pervert the course of justice. A contempt of court charge laid against him by the national court is a result of not wanting to observe the court order. The court has such powers to guide the course of justice. The law decides who is right and wrong upon examination of statements from rival parties. Let us not act above the law, but be submissive is justice is the rule of law.
