KAINANTU is probably the largest district town in any province that has all the government services one will need.
It serves the four Eastern Highlands districts of Kainantu, Henganofi, Okapa and Oburara Wonenara, and the two provinces of Ramu (Madang and Markham) and Morobe. This town is the hotspot for gold, coffee and fresh vegetables.

Kainantu is a small town and many villagers go there to shop and sell their produce.
If anyone wants to be a pickpocket, go to big towns and cities like Goroka, Lae, Madang, Mt Hagen or Port Moresby. That’s why when I am in Kainantu I feel very safe with my wallet.
I wish other big towns and cities can do the same.

If you are a pickpocket tycoon, don’t come to Kainantu.
