No retreat, no surrender, Sir Bob

THE remarks by Benson Nablu and other Morobeans that Sir Bob Sinclair is not eligible to contest the Huon Gulf Open seat are distasteful and childish.
Certainly, this kind of derogatory connotations must not come from senior citizens of Morobe like Nablu.
The clause under the Electoral Commission he quoted, stating that Sir Bob has not been residing in Huon Gulf for more than six months, therefore disqualifying him to contest in the electorate, is regrettably a cover.
There could be other reasons for this media hype and he must come out publicly and reveal his real motives.
About 80% of our MPs – former and current – have never had a home
in their villages or were never in their own electorates as they were mostly Port Moresby boys.
Yet, they were allowed to nominate and contest.
Today there are thousands of “parachute candidates” waiting in anticipation behind closed doors and tinted cars to contest the general election.
If they want to discriminate and scrutinise the intentions of Sir Bob, they should do the same to every other intending candidate.
Sir Bob is an icon of Morobe.
He owns half of Lae and has worked hard to transform Lae city into what it is now.
He is by right eligible to contest in any of the electorates surrounding Lae city including Lae Open, Huon Gulf and Nawaeb Open besides the Morobe regional seat.
I personally take offence in the way the
attack is being made and
I believe there are thousands out there sharing
the same sentiments.
I believe that politics is for people who have worked their way to success and have become leaders in their own rights, experiencing life in its fullness and totality.
They also have track records of achievements and are fully equipped to impart their leadership skills to a nation full of leaders by chance and opportunities.
Sir Bob is the right candidate for the coming election.
