No way to ship out cash crops
The National, Friday July 25th, 2014
I WOULD like to express my concerns about the pain and suffering of the people of Tewae-Siassi and Kabwum electorates from the loss of Lutheran Shipping services. They now face difficulties in getting their cash crops like coffee, cocoa and garden produce to the markets. I appeal to the MPs of these electorates to find solutions to this problem. The story in The National (June 26) has brought shame to Morobe Governor Kelly Naru because he should be chartering a boat to deliver the school’s building materials and transport cash crops back to Lae. We elected him to ease our burdens and solve development problems, but he has not even found an alternative to Lutheran Shipping services. I ask our leaders to quickly find a solution.
