WESTPAC is encouraging community members to submit a nomination for the Westpac Outstanding Women Awards and is automatically entering all nominators into a draw to win one of three K1,000 MasterCard gift cards.

Community members who submit a nomination for someone they know, or outstanding women who nominate themselves, will all be entered into the draw to win a gift card.

Nominations forms are available from all Westpac branches and through Westpac’s website.

Managing director Ashleigh Matheson says: “The awards – now in their seventh year – give the opportunity to recognise the important role and achievements of women in Papua New Guinea.

“The Westpac Outstanding Women (WOW) Awards are an important symbol of our commitment to helping empower women in PNG. So many women achieve exceptional things in this country on a daily basis, yet so few are acknowledged … we hope we are changing this by putting these women on a pedestal and truly celebrating their achievements.”

Nominations are open in five award categories  comprising the PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Sector Award, the Steamships Public Sector Award, the SP Brewery Entrepreneur Award, the Trukai Community Award and the IBBM Young Achiever’s Award.
