North Fly to build three high schools
THE North Fly district in Western will build three new high schools in three local level government areas.
The proposed new high schools were Olsobip High school in Olsobip, St Betila High in Kiunga rural and Bedamuni High in Nomad.
This comes after the district development authority approved for the establishments during the DDA meeting on Tuesday at remote Mougulu station in the Nomad local level government.
DDA chairman and MP James Donald said it was a government directive that all LLGs in the province have a high school.
North Fly has six LLGs of which three have high schools while the other three – Olsobip, Kiunga rural and Nomad do not have any.
The LLGs that have high schools were Kiunga urban, Ningerum and Star Mountain.
