THE Northern government has entered into a memorandum of agreement with the National Fisheries Authority (NFA) to support its fisheries and maritime activities.
Governor Gary Juffa said they were happy to have that arrangement to develop their resources.
“We are interested to go into aquaculture, beche-de-mer farming and also to see how we can process our marine resources in province.”
Speaking at the signing in Port Moresby yesterday, NFA managing director John Kasu said Northern was the 12th province to partner with the authority.
The main support under this deal is for the Government, through NFA, to ensure funding arrangements for fisheries projects and provide technical assistance.
