Nothing to show for

Letters

SINCE Prime Minister James Marape took the helm of this beautiful country’s political post, there is nothing to show for and his performance cannot be measured against the previous regime.
Having gone through some of the major developments and projects that took place in the recent past, I can say it was the work of the O’Neill-led government that took this country to the next level.
The people of PNG have spoken through the ballot boxes in the last national election by voting all PNC members to run the country for the next five years, however, greed and selfishness took its toll and resulted in having the people’s choice of government thrown out.
I am calling on leaders and people managing the economy of this country to put God first, and the eight million people’s interest instead of their own.

  • First and foremost, Marape has to clean up all the mess created by the previous regime, which he was also a part of, and set things in order.

Then, real work will begin soon after. For those of you who are expecting miracles too soon, please wait patiently. He has a vision for this country and everything takes time.
