Nou to head information dept

THE Department of Communication has a new secretary in Kora Nou, a media adviser to former prime minister Sir Michael Somare.
He replaces former secretary Henao Iduhu who resigned recently to prepare for the 2012 general election.
Nou was selected ahead of long-time fellow deputy secretary Paulias Korni.
The appointment of Nou was gazetted last Friday for a period of three months.
Korni, of Pangia in the Southern Highlands, retains his substantive position.
