THE future of the Northern Province Restoration Authority (NPRA) looks bleak after more revelations of mismanagement and abuse of funds.

The NPRA term ended last week and Governor Gary Juffa is currently reviewing its future.

He said a report would be furnished to the government and the National Executive Council.

It is alleged that some assets purchased through NPRA funds had been sold privately.

Last week, the Oro provincial government confiscated six vehicles and six houses belonging to the NPRA and ordered an immediate stock take of its current assets.

It is believed that two of the vehicles confiscated were sold to private buyers at a total cost of K110,000.

“We shall review the NPRA and decide its future and role in building Oro,” Juffa said.
