NRI appoints Delaney

 THE National Research Institute has announced Adam Vai Delaney as the new consultancy manager who will to try to boost the institute’s vision to expand capacity building.  

A statement from NRI acting director Dr James Yala yesterday said Delaney was appointed to oversee the portfolio of projects undertaken by researchers for external clients and contracts offered by NRI to researchers and technical experts.

“We very much welcome Adam on board. He brings with him over 25 years of broad, rich experience and skills, including as a senior consultant in the private sector, practising business development manager and negotiator in complex, multilateral environmental treaty,” Yala said.

The former diplomat’s role includes client business relationships, networking, institutional relations, drafting complex bids, managing contracts, negotiations, costing and business analysis.

“Adam is well acquainted with government and professional business practices, and brings exceptional skills in writing and dealing with people at different levels. We have a great team, and remain ambitious in paving ground-breaking research initiatives, that stimulate high-level policy debate in the country.”

Delaney’s role includes client business relationships, networking, institutional relations, drafting complex bids, managing contracts, negotiations, costing and business analysis.
