ANOTHER exciting round of the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League takes place at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium tomorrow with a triple header featuring champions Toti Lae City.
The three games in the fifth round fixtures will see Morobe Wawens take on Bougainville in the first game at 11am followed by Lae City-Vitiaz United at 1pm with the main game seeing Highlands franchise Kutubu taking on Morobe United at 3pm.
Wawens have one victory and will be eager to add another notch to their win column against visitors Bougainville.
Wawens faced the NSL’s top two clubs in their last two games and will welcome the opportunity to take on the Bougainvilleans in a contest they have a good chance of winning.
Wawens coach Bob Morris said his midfield had performed well against Hekari and Lae City and expected to base his offence of that strong base.
He said his side had worked during the week on communicating and working as a team to improve their defence on the edge and was confident it would show tomorrow.
In the second fixture, Lae City coach Peter Gunemba said it was important his side kept pushing itself to perform better and Vitiaz, whose form has been patchy, would present them the chance to be clinical and focus on their game.
Gumenba said his side started slowly in their last game and despite winning were flat and needed to start well and with purpose.
He said apart from maintaining a place in the top two, it would be important to get into form for the OFC Champions League next month.
Meanwhile, the winless Morobe United will fancy their chances of registering their first win of the season against Kutubu.
United though will need to be wary of the Southern Highlands side which upset Star Mountain 4-2 last week to bank their second win in their debut season.
