Numu Cup into playoffs

FOUR teams are left standing for the ultimate prize in the Peter Numu Cup rugby league tournament at the Sir Danny Leahy Oval in Goroka tomorrow.
The University of PNG and Kainantu 1 qualified from the Kainantu leg while Goroka 1 and Goroka 2 qualified from the Goroka leg.
Numu Cup chairman Noran Torosa said the two legs had completed their games their top two sides advancing through.
He thanked Kainantu coordinator Elmo Pasero and Goroka coordinator Garnet Auwo for their effort.
The two legs had 10 teams each: Kainantu leg — Kainantu 1, Kainantu 2, Obura-wonenara 1, Obura Wonenara 2, Henganofi 1, Henganofi 2, Okapa 1, Okapa 2, UPNG and UOG; Goroka leg — Daulo 1, Daulo 2, Goroka 1, Goroka 2, Unggai-Bena 1, Unggai-Bena 2, Lufa 1, Lufa 2, Divine Word University, University of Technology.
