NEW Zealand’s Construction Minister Maurice Williamson will be a keynote speaker at the small-and-medium enterprise summit which started yesterday.

This was revealed by  Trade Commerce and Industry Minister Richard Maru last Friday.

Maru said: “Williamson will be speaking on economic reforms and strategies that New Zealand carried out with the involvement of SMEs to create employment and wealth for New Zealand citizens.

“New Zealand was an interesting case study for PNG because as a developed natio,  its economy is based on renewable resources such as agriculture, tourism operations and services.

Maru was overwhelmed by the sponsorship support provided by sponsors to assist the government and SME sector, which will cost K1 million.
