O’Neill bids farewell to envoy

 PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill has thanked outgoing Chinese Ambassador Qiu Bohua for serving his tenure well in Papua New Guinea.

O’Neill expressed the government’s appreciation and gratitude during Bohua’s farewell call on him at his parliament office yesterday.

“I thank the Chinese government for its continuous efforts and contribution in promoting friendly relations between China and Papua New Guinea. 

 “On behalf of my government, I take this opportunity to express our appreciation and sincerely thank you for your service in this country,” he said.

He thanked the Chinese government for its ongoing assistance in foreign aid and its confidence in supporting investment in PNG.

“During his three-year term in office, Bohua did exceptionally well.

“He has served with distinction and has contributed towards enhancing stronger relations between our governments,” O’Neill said.
